Visiting and Short Term Programs

The University of Alberta offers a variety of short-term study options beyond its degree programs.

Visiting Student Certificate Program (VSCP)

A unique program allowing students from other universities to come to UAlberta for six to 12 months and study both ESL and academic courses. The academic courses may be transferable back to their home degree. Learn more.

International Summer and Winter Programs

These short, three-week programs give students from other universities a glimpse at University of Alberta life through an academic lecture series, campus tours and social activities.

Visiting Students (Non-Exchange)

Some faculties and departments allow students registered at other universities to come take UAlberta courses for a term or a year, even if no exchange agreement exists. Learn more.
