Sponsored Student Program

Sponsored students are international students who are either partially or fully supported throughout their studies by their governments, national or multinational companies, or third-party entities such as Fulbright. Support normally includes tuition, associated fees, and living expenses.

Our Sponsored Student Program (SSP) provides individualized support to these students and their sponsoring organizations, ensuring a smooth transition through the application process into life as a University of Alberta student.

UAlberta has welcomed students funded by organizations such as:

Note: The SSP does not provide funding to students; our office provides support to students who have either already obtained or will be seeking third-party sponsorship funding to attend the University of Alberta.
